The information in this course will describe the new payment models developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which aim to reward physicians and clinicians for providing care that is considered high-quality and lower-cost. You will learn how to choose the model that will be best for your practice; what the rules, reporting requirements, and scoring systems are; and what the potential incentives and penalties are. You will learn how payment models are changing, and what to expect in the future. This course will cover:

The development of quality initiatives in payment models;
The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS);
Scoring for MIPS;
Alternative payment models (APMs) and advanced APMs; and
Bundled payments.
